  • Concept and challenges: A catalyst of change, Rockland is among the first event-based shopping centres with a longterm focus on the user experience. Creating space for experiences will keep customers coming back, returning for the attractions and looking for something original — all the while being guided toward new products. The architecture of the new Rockland exemplifies the six criteria of the shopping centre of tomorrow: individuality (with an emphasis on architecture and unique experiences), neighbourhood (designed as a mini ‘city’, cheerful and enabling get togethers), green space (luminous, lush natural green spaces), entertainment (events, attractions, engaging experiences), discovery (new ephemeral spaces) and connection (personalized shopping experiences and custom apps).
