Mandate: Program of timeless townhouses in the St-Laurent district, Montreal
Realisation date: 2018
Concept and challenges: In order to anchor itself in the initial projects of the Quartier Bois-Francs, Humà appropriates the key elements that have made the success of precedents to harmoniously integrate this new architecture with the existing one. References to "Terrace Houses" in England, these Town Houses are contiguous and each have their characteristics, thus differentiating them from each other. This project aims to cross the time thanks to its richness in details and its cachet. The challenge has been to develop a contemporary architecture that introduces the warmth of traditional architecture with a modern flavor reflected in the proportions, details of constructions, materials and their assemblages.
